Preparing for polo

This painting in watercolor or gouache was the rough draft for a painting now in a gallery in Florida. As a rule, Sam Savitt roughs were as complete as the final works of many other artists. This painting is on a board, it measures 17.5 by 14 inches and has neither a mat or a frame.
