This portrait is one of a series created for the 1962 book “Around the World with Horses,” by Sam Savitt, but ultimately not included. However, this painting was later used for print reproductions. Painted in gouache, this piece is framed under clear plastic with a simple white mat. For that reason, the painting itself is in excellent condition. The mat measures 14.5 by 16 inches.
